Happy Independence Day! Gabrielle and I really wish we could celebrate the holiday weekend together, but our schedules are so different right now it's been hard to figure out a good weekend that we both are free. Gabrielle and I have spent the past couple of weeks trying to redefine our purpose for the blog. We have been busy watching webinars, searching for inspiration and redefining why we started the blog in the first place. We want The Twin Crowd to be a personal space where we can share our journey through this crazy thing we call life. When we started the blog we wanted to create a inspirational site for girls who shop on a budget, a place where you can find pieces that have both quality and style. Although this has not changed we want to refocus our blog on a more personal level.  A lot has changed since the beginning of the blog,  and we would love to share what we've learned over the past few years with others in hopes to inspire and motivate  Women to create healthy and stylish lives!

Spring Time calls for pastels! This beautiful shade of periwinkle looks gorgeous on Amber! Amber picked up this simple slip dress when visiting the Vestique boutique in Charlotte. It's the perfect silhouette for a warm spring day. Easy to throw a cute little jacket or sweater over. You can easily dress this look up or down by wearing sandals or a wedge, even a sneaker would look cute! We are obsessed with this coat (how beautiful is it?). The metallic detail really gets your attention! The color block design gives the coat structure and really makes it pop. Did I mention the brilliant gold detailing it gives the coat a luxurious feel. Underneath we wanted to do simple chic. We paired a black silk turtleneck with a striped full mini skirt; and an amazing price point (available at www.gap.com). We loved the way the skirt gave the outfit volume. A great detail was this black leather wrap belt, it really brought the two pieces together. After we took time to look back at the photos, we both said this would be perfect for an interview!
