So relieved that today is Friday! I've been blessed with catching this season's cold just in time for the weekend(sucks). On the other hand it makes for a great excuse for lounging in my bed all day, watching Law & Order re-runs! I love today's look it's so easy to put together. Sticking with all black pieces of different textures and fabrics is effortlessly chic. Adding a plaid flannel around my waist gives the look a more laid back vibe. These pieces are easy to wear with pumps, sandals or sneakers. My favorite part of this outfit is this chain-mail necklace! Such a stunning piece to have in my collection. It's bold yet simple, I can pair it with a basic tee or blouse. Amber and I loved getting to collaborate with Love and Pieces on this weeks looks. We are still offering the discount code below on the entire site, so take advantage! Hope everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend!

VALENTINES BLUES

On Gabrielle: Maxi Skirt: Eileen Fisher; Sweater: 360 Cashmere; Scarf: Gap; Sunglasses: Ray Ban; Boots: Kork Ease; Jacket: Rock&Republic; Watch: Larsson&Jennings

This week the Twin Crowd is celebrating Valentine's Day in style. We chose to put together two looks that we personally love to celebrate this romantic day. I chose this silky maxi skirt which is very romantic in itself. I paired it with this bright blue cashmere sweater,  cashmere is a very special material and it really compliments the silky skirt well. Instead of just wearing pink and red I wanted to do a little pop of pink; The scarf really works with the neon pink and the darker tones. A neon pink lip is also the perfect pink pop! We also wanted to give a special thank you to one of our contributors this week for helping us with ideas, so thank you to Jessica vaz Corria! Hope this outfit post gives you some inspiration! Stay tuned for more Valentine's Day looks this week and be sure to comment and let us know what you think!

HOLY CHIC

On Amber: Trousers: Joe Fresh; Graphic Sweater: Forever21; Clutch: Gap; Oxfords: Gap

I'm loving this look, its simple but fun. The plaid trousers paired with this graphic sweater  gives a quirky vibe. the trousers were a steal from Joe Fresh via jcp ( only 13 dollars!).  I love how the zipper details on the trousers are black, it really lets the plaid pattern stand out. These metallic loafers are from gap, they add shine to the outfit but are still a great neutral, the muted gold tone goes with everything. Gap has amazing sales all the time, we both use the app Shopular, which lets us know when our favorite stores are having sales events. Any statement necklace would work great with this look, we used a smaller piece but still in a fun color and design. We hope you enjoy today's look, Be sure to comment and let us know what you think!

SNEAKER CHIC

On Gabrielle:Coat: H&M; Chambray Shirt: LC via Kohl's; Sweater: GAP; Denim: GAP; Sneakers New Balance; Bracelets: Alex & Ani; Watch: Larson & Jennings

We are constantly sacrificing comfort for looks and style, that's why we are so glad to see that sneakers are back on the runways. Not only are they comfortable but also they add a sense of coolness to your outfit. Some brands we love right now are New Balance, Nike and Superga; there are so many diverse styles and fits so everyone can find the perfect pair. In this post we wanted to show our readers how to incorporate sneakers into an everyday outfit. At first sneakers may seem intimidating especially if you only wear them for working out or running errands, surprisingly sneakers can be very chic. They can make any look you put on seem effortless. For our outfit we wanted to use complementary colors. Since the sneakers are burgundy we wanted to use clothing that is navy blue and mustard yellow. The shape of the sneaker is also important; this style of sneaker is very sporty and sleek so we chose to pair it with white denim, which also contains these attributes. While incorporating something different into your everyday look may seem like a challenge, the truth is you’ll be so happy you decided to do it. Sneakers are an easy way to create a chic outfit without any effort at all. Be sure to try this look out and let us know how it goes! We’d love to hear from you!
