THE ANNUAL BAG SALE | CONCORD MILLS

Photography By Courtney Fletcher Photography

The 'Annual Bag Sale' is going on right now at Concord Mills Mall here in North Carolina and I honestly could not be more excited. It started on May 26th and we continue until June 30th. It includes exclusive savings , a trend report, pop art and even a sweepstakes to win #ThePerfectBag.  As we all now accessories can easily take an outfit from drab to fab instantly this is why its so important to find the ‘perfect’ one for you and your style. A bag is always my go-to to really create a stand out look. I firmly believe that you can never have too many handbags, but I also think that if you are wanting to purchase one for each season I would try to stick with a neutral or a subtle color as well as a timeless shape. I for one came across this beautiful Michael Kors bag at Concord Mills the other week and could not pass it up. The sale was way too good, I purchased the bag for 65% off - yes you heard that correctly, 65% off! The bag is made from soft leather in the prettiest cream color. It’s going to be a staple for all my summer outfits this season. The cross body design and detachable handles also make this bag a 'MUST'. So convenient for shopping and running errands when using the long strap and then it instantly transforms to a beautiful satchel with gold chain detailing for a night out on the town with friends. I also love how in the top flap there is a hidden compartment for extra storage; this is definitely one of my favorite features. When shopping the sale you want to strategically hit all the stores then shop around and compare. Always think about what you have in your wardrobe that you need to use the bag with or what type of colors you have in the majority of your items at home. Think about what would work best for both your work and going out attire. There are some really great handbag trends that are currently happening, two of my favorites, which are seen in my ‘Michael Kors’ bag, are the satchel trend and the cross body trend. These two trends are such classics and are showing no signs of stopping. A hands free bag is a wardrobe essential plus the satchel shape is so elegant and really can create a chic look with its structured silhouette.
Below are the activities that will take place during the four-week celebration:

·       “Stuff the Bag” benefitting Dress for Success Charlotte – Shoppers can donate a new or slightly used handbag to Dress for Success Charlotte by dropping their bag into the 6’-by-8’ handbag located in Fashion Court near Michael Kors and Coach. Those who make a donation will be entered to win a Michael Kors handbag. The winner will be selected at random on July 1.

·       Win the Handbag of Your Dreams Sweepstakes - Two lucky shoppers will have the chance to ‘win the handbag of your dreams’ through a sweepstakes hosted on Concord Mills’ Facebook page. Customers are automatically entered to win when they comment on their favorite style of handbag on the contest’s social media post. The winners will be selected at random and will receive a Simon American Express gift card valued at $500. The winners have to be residents of North Carolina and have the ability to pick up from Concord Mills. The official rules and regulations are available at Concord Mills’ Guest Services.

·       Handbag Pop Art Display - Shoppers will be treated to a dynamic and interactive 5’-by-10’ pop art handbag display in front of H&M. Soaring high above the display, will be a 12-panel mobile featuring handbags. It will make a great backdrop for photos and Concord Mills encourages shoppers to take and post photos at the display and of their handbag finds using #ThePerfectBag.

You must take advantage of this month long sale at Concord Mills Mall if you are in the Charlotte area, and feel free to comment below and ask any questions about the events going on or ways to shop the sale successfully. Can't wait to shop for a new bag again soon!
