MIXING THINGS UP

This week we wanted to take cool winter basics and showcase them in three different ways. We started with a simple outfit with these sleek velvet pants in a great shade of burgundy. Then added a basic navy crew neck sweater as a compliment. Since the outfit is made up of neutral tones we added this cheetah printed clutch to add a pop of pattern (you can really use any kind of pattern). The earthy brown booties are a great shoe that ties this outfit together. We love the boxy silhouette but we wanted to show easy ways to add interesting details. By simply adding a great patterned coat such as this navy and mustard plaid, we instantly take our basics to another level. The collarless coat gives a feminine spin, and the pattern gives off a playful vibe. The third way we innovated the basics is by adding a soft textured scarf in this beautiful heather grey hue. The volume of the scarf is amazing it adds softness to the outfit and is a easy way to add another layer of style. We love the idea of taking one outfit and mixing it up! Making clothes look fresh and new (without buying a whole new outfit). Hope you find this post useful in switching up your basics, be sure to comment and let us know what you think!
